DONVERSE Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

DONVERSE is operated by Don Concepts ("we", "us" and "our"). This Privacy Policy explains personal information associated with our website at donverse.world and the DONVERSE mobile app, including registration, games, multiplayer tables, subscriptions, eBooks, creator submissions and support.

This policy covers DONVERSE services. If you open an external website or use a third-party service, that provider also has its own privacy policy. The availability of particular features and sign-in methods may differ between the website and mobile app.

2. Registration and account information

When you register with email and password, you provide your email address, name and a password to the authentication service. Account records include an account identifier and profile information, such as your name, username and any contact details you choose to supply. Account verification, password recovery and sign-in require related account communications and authentication records.

Where Google sign-in is offered and you choose it, Google supplies the identity information needed to establish your DONVERSE account, which can include your name, email address and profile image. DONVERSE does not ask for your Google password. Registration also presents the existing user consent agreement.

3. Information associated with your use of DONVERSE

Please avoid putting unnecessary sensitive personal information, private information about other people or payment-card details in game names, creator submissions or support messages.

• Games and access: Account-linked game progress, scores, game choices, free-card selections, completion records and access entitlements support gameplay and continued access.
• Multiplayer tables: Tables use host and player identifiers, player names, membership, scores, turns, played cards, game phase and session timestamps to run and restore the shared game.
• Reading and media: eBook purchases, library access, reading progress, bookmarks, highlights and reader preferences support your reading experience. Narration features use narration requests, voice settings and generated audio where available.
• Referrals: Referral codes, attribution to a referring account, qualifying referrals and discount-redemption records support the referral scheme and prevent duplicate use.
• Creator submissions and support: Material you submit to the Creator Marketplace is associated with your account and submission details. Contact messages include your name, email, selected topic, subject and message, together with anti-spam information.

4. Why information is used

The purposes of these records are to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, deliver games and reading services, restore progress and shared sessions, verify purchases, apply subscriptions and referral eligibility, review creator submissions and respond to support requests.

Related operational records also support troubleshooting, service reliability, fraud prevention and account protection. Depending on the information and applicable law, processing may be connected to providing a requested service, your consent, a legal obligation or a legitimate operational purpose. Optional features remain subject to their relevant choices and permissions.

5. Data storage and browser storage

DONVERSE uses cloud hosting, account services, a database and file storage to operate its services. Account-linked records and uploaded or generated files may therefore be held by the cloud services used for those functions, rather than only on your device.

Some information is kept on your device in browser local storage or session storage. This includes sign-in session information, a local consent marker, display preferences, reader preferences or cached reading data and temporary page-recovery information. Clearing site data or uninstalling an app may remove local information but does not, by itself, delete cloud account records.

Cloud and third-party services may involve processing outside your country. Contact us for information about the locations and arrangements relevant to your account; this policy does not promise a particular storage country.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and similar device-storage technologies can support sign-in, session continuity, preferences and service delivery. DONVERSE uses browser storage for the purposes described above. Providers used for authentication, hosting or checkout may also use their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with them.

Your browser or device settings allow you to manage cookies and clear stored site data. Blocking required storage can interrupt sign-in, purchases, saved preferences or other features. Controls for a third-party provider are described in that provider's policy and settings.

7. Analytics and technical information

Website and app requests can generate technical information, such as IP addresses, browser or operating-system information, request times and error information, in hosting or service logs. Operational information helps investigate failures and understand service reliability. Game statistics and reading progress are also used to provide the relevant account features.

This notice does not represent that a particular advertising tracker or optional analytics product is installed. Any optional analytics or marketing technology introduced later should be disclosed with the choices required by applicable law. You can ask us for the current information relevant to your use of the service.

8. Payments, subscriptions and eBook purchases

DONVERSE web checkout uses Paystack for digital subscriptions and eBook purchases. When you proceed to checkout, payment information is handled through Paystack's payment interface and its own privacy terms. Do not send card numbers, PINs or security codes to DONVERSE support.

DONVERSE uses account-linked purchase information, such as a payment reference, amount, currency, product or plan, payment status and verification timestamps, to confirm payment, provide access and address payment enquiries. Subscription and purchase records support entitlement decisions. This policy does not change prices, renewal terms, refunds or payment methods.

If you use a payment method offered by another platform in the future, that platform's privacy terms will also apply to its processing.

9. Third-party services

Services relevant to DONVERSE include Lovable Cloud for application and account infrastructure, Google where Google sign-in is used, Paystack for web checkout and ElevenLabs where hosted book narration is used. Hosted narration processes the book text selected for speech generation; there is no need to supply personal information in that text. The website also loads its display fonts from Google Fonts.

The information involved depends on the service you actually use. A sign-in provider handles identity information, a payment provider handles checkout, and a narration provider handles a speech-generation request. Each provider has its own privacy notice. 10. Sharing and information visible to other users

Don Concepts' stated policy is not to sell, rent or trade your personal information. Information associated with a service can be made available to the providers needed to operate that service, to the team handling support or creator review, or to authorities where disclosure is legally required.

In a multiplayer game, shared player names, scores, turns and table activity are part of the experience visible to participating players. A Magic Link identifies a particular shared session; treat it as private and share it only with intended players. Referral links contain a referral code used for attribution, not your password.

Content you deliberately share or submit may be seen by its intended recipients. Avoid sharing information you do not want those recipients to have. Contact us if you believe information has been disclosed incorrectly.

11. Your choices and rights

You can review available profile settings, update account information where supported and use the existing Delete Account option in your authenticated profile. You can also send a privacy request through the contact details below without signing in.

Depending on applicable law and your circumstances, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your personal information; object to or request restriction of certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate prior lawful processing and may affect services that depend on it.

We may need information to verify that a request comes from the account holder. Please provide only what is necessary to identify the account, and never your password or complete card details. You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority about a privacy concern. Availability and scope of rights depend on applicable law, not a claim of certification by DONVERSE.

12. Data retention and deletion

Account-related information is generally relevant while an account remains active. Different records serve different purposes: reading progress supports continued reading, table records support sessions and recovery, and payment or referral records support access, verification and dispute handling.

Closing an account, clearing device storage and the expiry of a game invitation are different actions. Invitation expiry does not by itself establish when all related table records are deleted. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, payment disputes or fraud prevention after an account-deletion request.

Contact us for the retention or deletion information relevant to a particular record or request. This notice does not promise that every record, provider copy or backup is deleted immediately or on a single fixed schedule.

13. Security and account protection

The public DONVERSE website is served over HTTPS. Accounts use authentication and features use access checks to determine who can use account-linked services. These measures do not mean that any website, device or transmission is free from risk, and this policy makes no certification or breach-prevention guarantee.

Keep passwords and sign-in links private, use a trusted device, sign out of shared devices and share multiplayer invitations carefully. If you suspect unauthorized account access or a security issue involving personal information, contact us using the details below.

14. Children's privacy

The existing DONVERSE registration agreement is intended for account holders aged 18 or older, or the age of legal majority where applicable. The availability of family or Kids game content does not change that account-holder requirement.

Don Concepts' existing policy is not to knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18 without parental or legal-guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information through DONVERSE, please contact us so the account and information can be reviewed. Do not include unnecessary information about a child in your initial message.

15. Policy updates and contact information

This page may be updated when the service or privacy information changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision of this public notice. Any separate registration-consent requirements remain part of the existing account process.
